This retreat will take you deeper into practicing hearing God’s voice in the creative process. With Sara’s own experience of creating, she has learned to hear God in a more focused and beautiful way since become an artist. Sara will be releasing what God has given her in the past few years of becoming an artist to each attendee. Ann will be releasing the deep love of Jesus to each attendee with her gifted teaching and art. Affirming our identity as daughters of God, will allow us to move deeper into renewing our thoughts to hear God more in all areas of our lives.

This retreat will help with affirming your ability to hear God’s Song of Love over your life. This retreat will include teaching times, reflection times, painting times, quiet times all interlaced with the joy of God’s presence.

The schedule will be full of opportunities to create yet restful times. The retreat center is located on eight acres that has walking trails and quiet places. This weekend will bless your soul and spirit to increase your ability to hear God’s direction in your life. Through creating with acrylic paint and the use of color, God will speak to you in ways that will carry forth into your daily walk with God. No artistic experience is required. We will be focusing on the process of creating, not the finished product.

Sara Thurman has been practicing her calling of becoming an artist for God since she heard His clear call in October 2014. She has painted and sold over 750 paintings since that call. Sara had never considered herself an artist, in fact had never taken an art class before God told her who she was. She is releasing her first book, Small Beginnings: A Journey to the Impossible in summer 2019. It is her story full of testimonies of how her art speaks about the love of Jesus in her own unique journey of becoming an artist. She is a retired teacher and administrator from Texas public schools. She has a heart of encouragement and intercession to release the hope and light and love of Jesus to others. Sara lives in Wimberley, Texas with Wayman, her husband. Two sons and daughter-in-loves call her Mom and one little granddaughter calls her Grandma. She and Wayman started an art ministry called Acts 1:8 Blessings in early 2017. They release a portion of their profits to help make the name of Jesus famous all over the world to help missionaries and others in need in their own community.
